Anne's birthday

Grandma Cindy came to visit for Anne's birthday and we took advantage of the offer to leave Henry with her for a couple of hours. Anne's choice was to go out for a bit of nordic skiing even though the weather was not the greatest. We headed out with the dog and had a good, quick little ski. Today the weather was drastically better and Grandma offered up the option to get out again so we took it. The weather was actually so good that by the time we were heading back to the truck our skis were sticking like crazy but it was still a good bit of an excursion. The dog was loving it as she was the main attraction again if only for a couple of hours each day.

Hiking along Wet Beaver Creek

Today we loaded up and headed down to Wet Beaver Creek to soak in the 60 degree weather, take Henry on his first hike and let Yampa have some fun swimming in the creek. Everything went well as Henry slept the whole way and way back which was approximately 5 miles. Yampa was very excited about the water and was trying to get down to the water at every turn. We finally arrived at our destination and she got to swim a bunch and seemed really happy. As I write this she is out cold on her bed. Henry is also sleeping in Mommy's arms but his m.o. is to rally around ten and then stay up for a couple of hours, feed again and then calm down enough to sleep for a while.
